Dinner at Beit Al Tanour

My husband and I had been meaning to try out this lovely looking restaurant in Al Nasr for a while now and finally had the opportunity on Thursday evening. The Al Nasr street which nestles several popular eateries is a hard one to get to and parking can be quite a challenge.

Once we entered the restaurant, I was struck by the lovely interiors in a tent like setting with various kinds of seating – regular table with single chairs, sofa kind, private cabins and majlis seating. The interiors are nicely done and their fancy water fountains had my 4 year old fascinated throughout the meal.

The servers were particularly welcoming – opening the doors for us with a smile and seating us at a favorable table and immediately grabbing a high chair for our 11 month old. Our server immediately got us the menus and a bottle of water. He explained some of the items on the menu and helped us make a good choice for our meal.

We ordered the following items and loved each of the items. Each item of our order was delicious, good quantity and very fresh. I couldn’t fault any of the items we ordered.

  • Mix appetizers – QR 20 – Hummus, Mutabbal, Baba Ganoush, Spicy Salad
  • Chicken Liver with pomegranate – QR 15 ( We couldn’t finish and had to take out)
  • Mix grill – QR 50 (One kofta of chicken and meat each, meat cubes and shish tawouk with french fries)

The food arrived in no time and through out the meal, our server checked on us. The meal is totally worth the money and this is surely a place i would go back to and recommend to friends.
