I love the aroma of freshly roasted spices in my kitchen. This is one of the things that is very comforting about home cooking – the aroma, the freshness!
There are loads of dry spices to use. One of these are the cumin and coriander. Even though plenty of spices are available ready to buy at the grocery store, it is really easy to make them at home and any time you need them.
I make a combination of cumin and coriander as opposed to keeping them separate. I find this to bring out a gorgeous flavor and aroma in the food. This is an excellent combination to use for roasting veggies, lentil curry, veg curry and many more dishes.
It is super easy to prepare and stays fresh for a pretty long time. I usually make two weeks worth of this spice.
4 Tbls – Cumin
4 Tbls – Coriander seeds
- Dry roast the cumin and coriander on a pan.
- Allow it to cool and then grind.(That’s all)
- Store in a glass jar.
